Dektonhenge: craftmanship and technology to shape the materia With the project Dektonhenge, the Spanish design studio Apparatu presents a revision of the materia from the origins to investigate the processing methods. An authentic exercise of style, turned to analyse and interpretate the crafts production, with a clear reference to the composition of Decton: a sophisticated mixture of raw materials used in the building industry such as glass, ceramic materials of last generations and quartz surfaces. The vocation to the ceramic work of Apparatu , has allowed the group of young designers to reinvent the ultra-compact surface Dekton , subjecting it to a process related to primitive art of the manufacturing work. The result is a group of interior furnishings where the two machining processes of the raw material, the artisanal manipulation and digital modeling are harmoniously in dialogue.
